Smash Drink Bottles are safe from bacteria

Smash has been made aware of the concerns surrounding the safety of twist top caps on drink bottles and some Sippy Cups and would like to assure you that Smash Drink Bottles are safe from bacteria build, an issue that has been circulated in the news lately.

The concern is surrounding the build up of harmful bacteria in closed areas of bottle caps that cannot be accessed to clean, which allegedly contaminates the drinking spout causing varying sicknesses.

As you know some of Smash’s most popular bottles have twist top caps and as wonderful supporters of Smash, we just wanted to take the time to reassure you that all products are tested to the highest international safety and quality standards. Specifically, Smash Drink Bottles and Caps are engineered so there are no areas where liquids can be trapped and harbour bacteria, causing contamination.

Jason Harbinson, managing Director of Smash Enterprises says “Our Smash twist top bottles have been available for over 14 years and are built to be safe for the intended use and life of the product. Smash select the highest quality materials test to international standards and we 100% back our products to ensure they’re safe for you and your family.”

Should you have any questions or have followers who are seeking cleaning information, Smash recommend that you wash their products in warm soapy water and allow them to dry thoroughly before your next use. If you don’t have time for that, simply place the separated bottle and the cap on the top rack of the dishwasher then allow to air-dry. Make sure the components are separated and the cap elements are open when cleaning and drying. Our cleaning instructions can also be accessed through our website www.smashenterprises.com.au/faq

Thank you for taking the time to read this and we hope that you continue to endorse our products and are reassured that Smash products are safe for you, your family and your loyal followers.
