Business conferences are a huge ordeal. The way in which they have changed over the years is immense. Long gone are the days of chats that would last two hours, with half of the audience asleep after the first 30 minutes. Not to say that doesn’t happen anymore, but they are now geared towards interaction and innovation, rather than focusing more on the knowledge that is going to be shared. Thousands of conferences are held around the world each year, and every year something new is being brought to the table that is switching up the game. To pinpoint just a few, today we are going to showcase some of the trends that are developing within business conferences.

Business Giants Leading The Way

If it were not for some of the biggest companies in the world, business conferences would most likely be exactly the way they once were. It’s the innovation of such businesses that are leading the way. One that is tackling the trend change head-on is Google. It’s no secret that Google knows how to do things, and they know how to do it right. They’re one of the biggest tech companies in the world, and boy do their conferences showcase that. Google/IO was one that happened recently, and the conference attracted thousands of fellow businessmen and women. They focused more on the interaction with potential clients, rather than focusing on talking about their advancements. It’s this trend that people are loving so much. It’s so much more engaging for than a talk would be. The way in which the conference is set out is much more fluid as well. Stands flow on nicely, and unlike some conferences, nothing was too samey.

Technology

So, one thing Google do well is showcase their own technology, but this is a trend that we’re seeing around the world. Multiple different companies are being hired to make the events much more interesting, bright, and interactive on the whole. There are special effects, music, huge projector TV screens, and more high tech lighting systems giving a more visual effect, just like this specialist event lighting company offers. Visual is everything when keeping a crowd of people entertained, and bright lights are going to draw people in, rather than just the plain white light that some conferences offer. Special effect lighting and music is also being used during the talks held within the conferences. The main aim of this is to keep the crowd alive, engaged, and they emphasise the topic being spoken about.

Creative/Interactive Zones

This is one of the best parts of a conference. Stands which allow the consumer to interact with the products, and ones that allow creativity to keep the brain alive during such a long day. One of the best has to be the companies that bring VR technology with them. It’s immersive, exciting, and videos can be played through the VR to create a virtual tour of the company or product. So much more exciting than just being spoken to.

The trends that we see at the moment are exciting, and primarily geared towards technology. It will be exciting to see the advancements in future conferences.
