We should all be enjoying life to the full, after all, we all want to live a long and happy life right? However, our lifestyles can sometimes affect our health and wellbeing, which isn’t great in the long run. So here are five things that are maybe affecting your overall health.

Too Much Alcohol

Alcohol is certainly a weakness for many of us. It’s everywhere at social events, and sometimes it’s the nectar we need to help us relax after a hard day’s work. However, too much alcohol isn’t going to make you feel great or look it. The problem drinking has on your body is that it sucks out all of the water and it’s essentially a poison, just like smoking or drugs. It’s good to take a moment to look at the amount you drink and perhaps cut it back or give yourself a break for a while so that your body can recover.

Not Talking About Your Feelings

When it comes to our feelings, some of us don't want to talk openly about them. However, when you have a bad day or if you’re not feeling yourself, you should talk about it to those who care and love you. Or if it helps, to a stranger. This is because when we keep things to ourselves, we can over examine things or see a situation in a way that it’s ten times worse than it actually is. It’s important not to bottle it up.

Stress From Work

Stress can take a toll on the body, and if it’s constant, then you might want to think about changing your work situation. Stress can really damage a person’s mental health and physical health, with some often having to take time off work to recover. When it comes to your health, you need to take it seriously. Stress from work is something a lot of us go through, and it’s making sure this stress is reduced either by talking to your employer or taking yourself out of it.

Lack Of Water

Water makes up for 60% of our body, and without it, we’re stopping our bodies from performing at their best. The same goes for our skin on the outside which is also made up of mostly water. Without a good amount, the skin can go dry, and there’s an increased risk of fine lines and wrinkles forming. Water has many benefits so try to drink as much as you can each day.

Diet And Exercise

A good balance of diet and exercise is needed to help maintain the health of your body. Eating junk food and having no exercise is going to make you feel sluggish, you’ll likely put on weight, and your mental wellbeing won’t be at it’s best. Try to incorporate as much fruit and vegetables into your diet as possible and exercise regularly.

By tackling these problem areas, you’ll certainly notice a huge difference in both your health and mind, so make sure to take these tips on board.
