But we know that there are far more problems with regards to employment compared to what we’re going to list, so it’s important that you’re taking the time to do your research as to what other issues you might want to try and avoid. So, keep on reading, and see if you’ve come across any of these issues before, and if you can avoid them in the future.
Employers Perspective
From an employers perspective, there are just tons of things that we could mention that you need to try and avoid, because whilst you’ve got the hassle of needing to fill the space that you need to fill, you’ve also got the hassle of having to adhere to the guidelines, and create an interview process that’s going to hire the right staff member for you. It’s a process that small businesses in particular find hard to manage over the already growing pressure of the business, so lateral hiring is something you may want to consider trying. Lateral hiring is basically hiring a headhunter to go out there and find the perfect candidates for you. So many businesses go for this option to prevent their own search coming up short, and it avoids the issue of the interview process taking too long, which costs valuable time and often money.Employers also need to avoid the issue of any HR problems arising, which people going through the interview process can encounter. It could be anything from inappropriate questioning and job offers, to racism and sexism. So, always make sure that you’re keeping your interviews relevant to the process, and stick to all of the rules and regulations regarding it, which can be found on the internet!
Employees PerspectiveFrom an employee perspective, there can be a ton of issues to be avoided, and all of them based around finding the right role to actually be interviewed for, and making sure you’re prepared for the day. So be meticulous about the role you want to have within a company, and make sure that they are offering everything you need from a job before you even go into it. To prepare for the day, you need to make sure that you’re taking the time to actually research about the company, their history and their present, so that you can be prepared for any questions. Employers are now keen to know that the potential employee is interested in the actual company, not just the benefits that come with it.
