SACRAMENTO –
When Tahiti Tourisme called on MeringCarson as its first global communications agency after a nationwide review, the agency was charged with creating an integrated print, video and digital campaign to reintroduce The Islands of Tahiti to a worldwide audience.

 

Working with Tahiti Tourisme CEO, Paul Sloan, the agency created a global campaign to reset consumer perceptions of the destination: reinforcing the iconic beauty and privacy that is core to the Tahitian experience, but also broadening awareness and interest in the unique culture of the islands.

 

At the heart of the new campaign is the tagline, “Embraced By Mana” as it expresses the important and powerful belief by Tahitians that Mana is a life force and the sprit that connects all living things.

 

Video, digital and print ads will launch this month in U.S. markets and will expand to audiences in France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Australia, New Zealand, The United Kingdom, Brazil as well as Japan, China and Korea.

 

 

MeringCarson CCO Greg Carson commented, "This has been a dream project. During our 2-week research and immersion trip to The Islands of Tahiti, we had many discussions with visitors, locals and stakeholders about what makes The Islands of Tahiti such a special destination. The power, and storytelling potential, of Mana was obviously and unmistakably our point of difference."

 

The global campaign will expand beyond digital and print advertising to include social media and cooperative advertising efforts, according to the agency.

 

MeringCarson did not disclose billings for the campaign.
